ADMISSION TO NURSERY CLASS SEPTEMBER 2027
30 Hours Nursery Provision
From September 2017 the Government introduced an eligibility based additional 15 hours of free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds. This means that whilst 3 and 4 year old children have access to the universal 15 hours entitlement, some children will also be able to access an additional 15 hours – if their parent(s) meet the eligibility criteria.

St Agatha’s School offers 30 hours Nursery provision for the September 2027 intake.
Funding Information
Universal Funding: 15 hours a week, over 38 weeks of the year. This is offered for a whole academic year and is not affected by any access to the extended funding or chargeable hours.
Extended Funding: up to an additional 15 hours a week, over 38 weeks of the year – the place is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria and having a valid code, from HMRC. It is the parents’ responsibility to reconfirm their eligibility every 3 months, with reminders from HMRC. 30 Hour Codes must be shared with the school before the beginning of each academic term, for the Autumn term, codes must be given to the school by 12th July 2027.
It is a requirement that a signed and completed parent authorisation form is submitted prior to the offer of an entitlement place. If your child accesses entitlement hours at another setting, this must be stated on the form.
Families wishing to transfer their entitlement to a different childcare provider must give four weeks’ written notice to their existing provider.
Four weeks’ calendar notice will be applied from the date written notice is given to end or amend the agreement. Children will not be able to access the entitlement hours at any other provider until the week following the end date of the notice period which must be before the Local Authority nominated headcount date.
