Year 6 Kingston Borough Netball Tournament

Ditton Playing Fields

 

Nine children, from Year 6, were chosen to represent St Agatha's Netball team at the annual Kingston Borough Netball Tournament. This was the first time this event has been held since 2019, so the children (and Mr Mckinnell) were very excited!

 

The team travelled by minibus to Ditton playing fields, in Thames Ditton, where they competed against 6 other schools from across the borough. The winning school would go on to represent Kingston at the London Youth Games.

After all of the 6 matches had been completed St Agatha's had won 3, drew 1 and lost 2 games. Their final game v Latchmere was effectively a play-off. St Agatha's won this game and finished in 2nd place overall. A fantastic achievement to only lose out to Holy Cross Prep who finished in 1st place. 

 

As the St Agatha's team went up to collect their silver medals, they had a look of sheer joy on their faces!
