WOW moment!  Winter comes to our Nursery Garden

It was so frosty and cold in the Nursery garden that the pond froze! What an exciting opportunity to explore changes to materials, freezing and melting. 
We used our senses of touch and sight to explore the ice.  It was SO cold! We found patches of frost around the playground to make marks in with our hands and feet.  We predicted that the sun would melt the ice by lunchtime….. and we were right!
