GB Athlete Visit

On 20th May 2022, Pierre Henry-Fontaine visited St Agatha's as a fundraiser for Team GB athletes and for our school.

 

What an assembly! The students were blown away with his basketball skill level when shown and were excited to hear that in one game he had scored 63 points, not even LeBron James has that record! Students were able to ask questions which were very thoughtful and helped to motivate everyone to feel like they can go after their athletic dreams. Each class was then able to go through a circuit that Pierre ran and helped to motivate everyone to keep going when they felt the burn with burpees. I hope that the students are reminding their teacher to go through the same circuit after register each morning. :)

 

Well done to our community! We raised £845.20 to help aspiring Team GB athletes realise their dreams, of which £592.80 goes to our school to help fund more athletic events. The students will be asked for their suggestions.
