The Great Curiosity Fair
STEM Week 2026 – Celebrating Curiosity!
To mark British Science Week, our brilliant Year 6 pupils took on the exciting challenge of organising their very own STEM Fair—and every class in the school was invited to join the fun!
The hall was buzzing with excitement as children explored handsβon activities and mindβboggling miniβexperiments created and run entirely by Year 6. Curiosity was everywhere, and so were the smiles!
Our young scientists led investigations into questions such as:
π What is density?
π Why do some things float while others sink?
𧩠Why are puzzles so puzzling?
π How can a lemon make electricity?
πβοΈ How does friction affect motion?
π Why do pulleys make lifting easier?
π₯ Can you really make an egg bounce?
π What makes an electromagnetic train move?
πͺ When you flip a coin, are there really more heads than tails?
From floating experiments to lemon batteries and bouncing eggs, children were inspired to ask questions, investigate, test, and discover—everything STEM Week is all about!
A huge well done to Year 6 for their enthusiasm, creativity, and fantastic explanations. And thank you to all classes who came along ready to explore the wonders of science!
π¬β¨ Stay curious!
