Following our recent inspection, the Catholic Schools Inspectorate report for St Agatha’s School has now been published — and we are thrilled with the outcome!
St Agatha’s has been awarded Outstanding across all areas, with the report highlighting our many wonderful strengths, including our brilliant teaching and exceptional pastoral care. π
A huge congratulations to our dedicated staff and superb pupils who have worked so hard for this achievement. This is a proud moment for our whole school community!
What an amazing day we had on our trip to The Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park!
We became real-life nature explorers, loving the outdoor classroom where we learned all about the birds, creatures and local plants that call the park home. We saw them in their natural habitat and built some nests in the trees!
We were careful, curious, and kind to nature — just like real scientists! π¬π
A big thank you to everyone at @hollylodgecentre who were so kind and interesting and helped make our outdoor learning day so special.
Let’s keep exploring, asking questions, and looking after the world around us. π
ππΎ Harvest Collection Success! πΎπ
A huge thank you and well done to all our amazing pupils, families, and staff for your generous contributions to our Harvest Charity Collection!
Your kindness and community spirit have made a real difference, and we’re proud to be supporting Dons Local Action Group with your donations. π
Together, we’ve shown that even the smallest hands can make a big impact. π
Year 5 have been making and learning about oracle bones.
St Agatha's RE Ambassadors joined over a hundred other Catholic schools for The Beginning of the New School Year Mass at St George's Cathedral, London. The Cathedral was packed with school children and the Mass was led by the Archbishop of Southwark, the Most Reverend John Wilson. Two of our pupils were proud to be selected to lead the entrance procession where they carried the Jubilee Candle and Pilgrims’ Passport to the altar.
St Agatha’s Mini Vinnies from Years 4 and 5 were delighted to attend a Mission Together Mass, at St Theodores Church, Hampton, celebrated by Bishop Jim Curry.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring together pupils from the Diocese of Westminster, Southwark and Arundel& Brighton.
After Mass, there was a chance to socialise with children from other schools whilst enjoying juice and biscuits.
Our School Councillors and House Captains had an amazing day visiting the Houses of Parliament!
They enjoyed a fascinating guided tour and took part in a brilliant workshop all about how laws are made.
What a memorable experience for them!
A huge welcome to all our new families and to all our families returning from the summer break. Everyone enjoyed a sunny start to the Autumn Term and is looking forward to the busy weeks ahead.
St Agatha's have beaten Latchmere school in the Annual St Agatha's v Latchmere Chess Shield Competition 2025. The team played with determination to win 7-5 building on the success they had last year. The Latchmere team were extremely strong but still St Agatha's came through. The team this year included two Year 2 beginners who were selected to play based on their outstanding performance in the recent UK Chess Challenge competition. They won through with flying colours. The strength, determination and resilience of the entire team paid off. All team members were awarded their Chess blue badges.
We have many aspiring chess players in the Chess club and hope this acts as an inspiration for them and new members to work hard, and maybe they can be part of the St Agatha's Shield match in 2026.
It was with great excitement that a group of Year 5 children, selected in their roles as pupil RE leaders, Mini Vinnies and school council representatives, attended the inaugural ‘Voices for Social Justice’ Conference at Holy Cross School, New Malden.
The children had the great privilege of listening to guest speakers, from across the country, who spoke about how we can each make a positive difference in the world through our words and actions. The learning from the conference will be shared with all St Agatha’s children so all voices can be heard in our school as we plan actions for social justice.
We look forward to sharing our ideas and celebrating our actions!
During STEM Week, Years 3-6 participated in a Lego Robotics workshop with @beyondblocksuk to develop their engineering and programming skills. Children in Nursery - Y2 participated in an Eco Warriors and Engineering workshop delivered by @inventorsandmakers
Our whole school took part in a balloon-powered car race, designing and building cars at home to race using only recyclable and natural materials.
It was a very close competition and such innovative ideas!
Well done to our winners:
Isaac (Y5) Sammy (Y1) Olivia P (YR) and Nasser and Victor (Y3) ππ
