Mrs Humanes' Easter El Roque Visit
Ms Humanes visited our link school, El Roque, again in the first week of the Easter holidays. The children were still at school as they only have Easter week itself off. We sent them some little Easter eggs from the children at St Agatha's. The children were very pleased as this is not a Spanish tradition. Ms Humanes was able to be with the children during a Geography lesson and learned a lot about the rivers in Spain.
Our next link activity is to learn a traditional folk song from the other country. Mrs Rodgers is teaching KS2 Scarborough Fair which we will then teach to the children at El Roque. They will preform this at a music festival at the end of May. Mario San Plah, the Year 5 and music teacher at El Roque, will be sending us a traditional La Palma folk song (and maybe even dance!) for the St Agatha's children to learn.
