Bug Hotel
To support the fantastic work of ‘Friends of Latchmere Recreation Ground’ (FoLaR), the Science Ambassadors, along with scientists from Years 2-6, helped build a Bug Hotel on Latchmere Rec. Firstly, a local expert shared a great deal of interesting information about how the Bug Hotel will help biodiversity.
Next, we used resources which had been collected from the local area to fill the hotel and planted shrubs on the roof. Finally, with the help of parents we removed a large amount of litter.
It was a great opportunity to help maintain this local space which many of us use so often.
