  • 🏃‍♀️ Being Active Week at St Agatha’s! 🏃‍♂️✨

    Did you know? 🧠 Government guidelines recommend that children aged 5–18 get at least 60 active minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity every single day! 💪👟
    Here’s what we’ve been up to:
    🏫 KS2 Assembly: Our KS2 pupils explored different and easy ways to keep moving at home—from family walks 🚶‍♀️🌳 to turning tidying up into active games 🧹🎮!
    🎭 Nursery & KS1 Drama4All Workshops: @perform_uk came to visit and our younger pupils had a fantastic time letting their imaginations run wild with movement, drama, and fun! 🤸‍♂️🌈

  • 🏆 St Agatha’s Sports Update! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️⚽

    Our athletes have been busy recently across cross-country and football!
    🥇 Kingston Primary Cross Country: Well done St Agatha’s! Two Year 6 boys finished 1st and 2nd in their group, helping to secure Silver overall for the boys' team! The Year 6 girls team ran fantastically well to take 3rd place! 🥉
    ⚽ Girls U11 Football: Fantastic result for the Years 5 & 6 girls, who fought hard throughout their tournament. Their grit paid off—Plate Cup Champions! 🏆
    🌧️ U11 Mixed Football Team: The children were very excited and determined, despite the terrible weather, to do their best. Sadly, the rain was non-stop, so after giving it a good shot - and getting extremely cold and wet! - the event was called off.

  • 🧹Trip Back in Time for Year 2🧺

    Yesterday Year 2 visited the Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park. 
    We experienced life as a Victorian child - school in the morning and servant's jobs in the afternoon. From slate board sums to floor cleaning and ironing, we saw how life was very different and very difficult for children in Victorian times, but we had fun pretending.

    Thank you Holly Lodge, we had a wonderful time.

  • 🍃 Healthy Minds & Creative Spirits in Year 4! 🍃

    In Year 4, we have been loving our outdoor area. As part of our PSHE lessons, we have been learning about keeping our minds and bodies healthy. We explored the garden and created fantastic nature faces, allowing us to spend time outside and get artistic with natural resources.🎨🍃
    We are so lucky to have such a wonderful area for us to enjoy our learning outside. 🍂🌸✨

  • Vocabulary Day

    St Agatha’s was buzzing with talk on Vocabulary Day, as staff and pupils rose to the challenge of coming to school as a word. From ‘discombobulated’ to ‘radiant’, from ‘energetic’ to ‘exhausted’, we had a wonderful array of words that stumped many. It’s Oracy October, so let’s keep talking and trying to enrich our vocab.

  • 🔬Scientists at Work🔬

    As scientists, Year 6 have been investigating the heart and circulatory system, and it turns out that not only have they discovered how the heart works and its parts, but we have learnt that they are fantastic model makers. ✨

    When asked if they would recommend the lessons to Year 5 - they reported it was great fun, but they didn't like the smell of the hearts during the dissection!

  • Rockstar and Robot Day

    Our primary stars traded their uniforms for our Rockstar and Robot Day! 🎸🤖

    Our pupils took part in online TTRS Battles and raised the roof singing 'We Will Rock You'! Some of the children took on the ultimate challenge in Beat the Teacher!

  • 🎖️Olympic Medal Energy at St Agatha's🎖️

    We had the honour of welcoming Olympic Medallist Beth Tweddle to our school 🤸🏼🏆
    She shared her Olympic journey and winning Dancing on Ice, inspiring our pupils to keep their bodies moving. Being active is fun, empowering and for everyone! A huge thank you for taking the time to come and visit us.

  • St George's Cathedral Mass

    We were honoured to be invited to attend the 'Beginning of the Year' Mass at St George's Cathedral. One of the highlights was meeting the Archbishop.  It was a beautiful sunny day and a lovely start to the new term.

  • 🌟Goodbye Mrs Cahill💐

    After 13 years of dedicated service, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Headteacher. 🌟
    Yesterday’s special send-off was a fitting tribute to everything Mrs Cahill has given to our school. The children put on a truly wonderful afternoon, showcasing heartfelt goodbye performances through song 🎶, poetry 📖, and dance 💃.

    We thank Mrs Cahill for her hard work, commitment, and unwavering dedication to St Agatha’s and wish her every happiness and success in the years ahead. ❤️✨
